Shopify POS reporting

A Z-report for Shopify POS, ready for the bookkeeper

TillClose brings the register day's totals into one read-only PDF. Choose a Shopify POS location and business date to see sales, taxes, refunds, tender totals, and—when the location uses POS Pro cash tracking—drawer over or short.

What a Shopify POS Z-report should answer

A traditional Z-report gives the person closing a register one place to check the day. Shopify provides sales reporting and cash tracking in separate views. TillClose combines the closeout pieces without changing orders, payments, or inventory.

  • Total sales, discounts, taxes, refunds, and net sales for the selected register day.
  • Collected amounts separated into cash, card, gift card, and other tender types.
  • Opening float, expected cash, counted cash, and over or short when a POS Pro cash tracking session exists.
  • A printable PDF that can be downloaded and sent to the bookkeeper.

Built around the register day, not a report builder

Select a location and day, review the closeout, then download the PDF. TillClose also keeps a 60-day report history so an earlier closeout can be reopened or downloaded again.

Reports are computed on request from Shopify. TillClose does not store report amounts, individual orders, customer data, or location identifiers.

Common questions

Is a Z-report the same as closing the cash drawer?

They are related, but not identical. A Z-report summarizes the register day. Drawer reconciliation compares expected cash with the amount counted. TillClose puts both in one closeout when POS Pro cash tracking data is available.

Does TillClose reset Shopify POS totals?

No. TillClose is read-only. It creates a closeout view and PDF without resetting or modifying Shopify data.

Can I create a report for each retail location?

Yes. You choose one Shopify POS location and one business date for each closeout.
