TillClose support

TillClose gives Shopify POS retailers the end-of-day report their old cash register printed: a one-tap daily closeout per location with total sales, taxes, refunds, a tender breakdown, and cash drawer reconciliation, as a clean PDF you can download or print, with a 60-day history.

Email ellefsenmarketing+tillclose@gmail.com and we will get back to you within one business day.

Common questions

Why is the drawer section empty?

Cash drawer reconciliation uses Shopify's cash tracking, which requires a POS Pro subscription at that location. The drawer must also actually be opened and closed in the POS app — if no tracking session was started for the day, there is no float or count for TillClose to report. Sales, taxes, and tender totals still appear without POS Pro.

Why do numbers differ slightly from Shopify Analytics?

TillClose reports by register day in your shop's timezone and counts refunds on the day they were processed, the way a register tape would. Shopify Analytics can slice the same orders by different date boundaries and attribute refunds differently, so small differences on a given day are expected — the totals agree over time.

Which orders count?

POS orders placed at the selected location during that register day. Online orders and orders from other locations are not included in a location's closeout.

How do I get the report to my bookkeeper?

Use the Download PDF button on the closeout screen, then email or print the file yourself. TillClose does not send reports anywhere on its own — you download the PDF and pass it on however you like.

Does TillClose change anything in my store?

No. TillClose is read-only. It reads order aggregates, cash tracking sessions, and locations to build the report. It stores your shop's session and privacy-minimal feature-use events, but never report amounts, individual orders, location identifiers, or customer data.
